Situated in the heart of the famous Lanes, Donatello is probably Brightons most popular restaurant.

As one of the longest established restaurants in Brighton, the directors of Pietro Addis & Sons were becoming increasingly aware of the pressure and reliance that was being placed on their single cashier and cash register in Donatello. At the start of 2003, the directors took the decision to implement a programme to introduce IT and EPOS into their business.

Our first solution to the directors of Pietro Addis & Sons, was to gradually roll out an IT and EPOS implementation programme to ensure a smooth transition from being a pen and paper driven business. The first major hurdle was installing a CAT5 network between the 4 elderly building that make up the restaurant at Donatello. Utilizing our networking skills, a weather proof CAT5 network was installed out of hours, running outside, around the air-conditioning system and between the buildings.

Consultations were then help between the myPOS support team and the directors of Pietro Addis & Sons to set up the modular myPOS software so that it exactly met their requirements. On the 23 June, the myPOS System went live in Donatello Restaurant with one terminal replacing the existing cash register, a second terminal acting as a waiter station and a third as an extra cashier station for use during the weekends.

We have now installed myPOS systems in all of the restaurants owned and operated by Pietro Addis & Sons.
