Integrated Chip + PIN

myPOS EPOS Systems can be integrated with Chip + PIN through Transaction Network Services SmartCCard Lite and SecureCXL Managed Services.

Our integrated Chip + PIN requires a dedicated ADSL service and a merchant number and account. In order to set-up a merchant number and account, you will need to contact your bank (If you already have a merchant number you may still need to contact your bank to ensure you are able to use it). A merchant is a company which has been given the facility to accept credit card payments by an acquiring bank. It is the name of the merchant that appears on credit card statements against any purchases made.

The following card types are supported with our integrated Chip + PIN: Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Carte Bleu, Creation, JCB. American Express and Diners Club International are to follow shortly.

The following banks are supported with our integrated Chip + PIN: Barclaycard Merchant Services, RBS Streamline, Lloyds TSB Cardnet, HSBC Card Services, Girobank, American Express, Diners Club International, Ulster Bank, Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, Transax, Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank - plus some European banks.
