For Clients

Supported Operating Systems:

  • Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS)
  • POSReady 2009
  • Windows Vista Business
  • Windows Vista Enterprise
  • Windows Vista Home Basic
  • Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Windows XP Service Pack 2
  • Windows XP Service Pack 3
  • Windows 7 32 Bit
  • Windows 7 64 Bit (currently not for integrated chip and pin)

  • 32-Bit Systems: Computer with Intel or compatible 1GHz or faster processor (2 GHz or faster is recommended. Only a single processor is supported)

  • 64-Bit Systems: 1.4 GHz or higher processor (2 GHz or faster is recommended. Only a single processor is supported)

  • Minimum of 1 GB of RAM (2 GB or more is recommended)

  • 200MB of free hard disk space


    For Servers

  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows Server 2008

  • 32-Bit Systems: Computer with Intel or compatible 1GHz or faster processor (2 GHz or faster is recommended. Only a single processor is supported)

  • 64-Bit Systems: 1.4 GHz or higher processor (2 GHz or faster is recommended. Only a single processor is supported)

  • Minimum of 1 GB of RAM (2 GB or more is recommended)



    For Peripherals

  • Supporting hardware such as receipt printers must support >OPOS


    Many POS Manufacturers provide OPOS compatible equipment including Epson, IBM, Fujitsu, NCR, Panasonc, Wincor Nixdorf and Star.
